The announcement that New York Times digital subscribers will now be able to use Flipboard to access their content has sparked some debate as to where theĀ credit should go for making possible this marvel of modern content delivery. [ more ]
The name is right out of an Ikea catalogue but the functionality looks dandy and could be the first serious competitor for Flipboard. The “Zite” was developed by researchers at the University of British Columbia’s Laboratory for Computational Intelligence, and the technology can practically peak into your cerebellum and improvise a content smogarsbord straight out of your dreamscape.
Well, actually the idea is to learn your reading habits and personalize content based on your interests — which in itself is hardly revolutionary thinking. Link a Twitter account or Google Reader, and Zite will analyze (not simply display) your feeds to create a magazine tailored to your interests. Thereafter it continuously refines content so it’s fresher and dynamically tailored to the interests reflected in your click behaviour. How much lazier do you want to be? [ more from Fast Company ]
